Happy Neighborhood Project
Back in 2009 at the height of the recession, Edwin Edebiri went out on the streets to talk to people about happiness to shift people's mind from all the negativity to something positive. He interviewed over 1,000 people about happiness and a local news station heard about his work and ended up doing a small documentary.
From there Edwin started the I Am Happy Project, which focuses on spreading happiness to individuals. It is now in 64 cities, 19 countries, with over 70,000 people involved. In 2014, Edwin's work was recognized at the United Nations for what he does for global happiness and was invited to do a TEDx Talk. You can find his TEDx Talk here.
Founded in 2015, Happy Neighborhood Project (HNP) is the Happiest Place in the World for Business People. Business owners can find other Happy Businesses they can work with, attend our free virtual networking events, and get resources to help their business. Since March 2020, HNP has grown from 1 weekly networking event to now over 70 weekly networking events in over 7 countries and 34 states. We have committed to keep the events free, forever, to support the small business community.
